Event details
The Barony of Bergental,in cooperation with The Barony Beyond the Mountain, invites one and all to join us for the celebration of Yule with all the fun and ceremony of past revels.

Our friends from BBM will host a fundraising auction – please bring your gently used medieval items to donate. COOKIE SALE-as in past years, please bring your yummy baked goods to benefit the Royal Travel Fund. Recipes do not need to be period, but please include a list of ingredients, and package them in disposable containers.

There will be an A&S display and classes (including training to be an A&S judge), performances, merchants, and more: all the delights of the season. Bergental’s Luminary competition for our A&S champion will be held – please see the barony’s website and Facebook pages for details.

A simple dayboard (ham, soup, bread & cheese, fruit) will be served. A hearty Yule feast by our own Lord Alberic Maqi Droata and talented kitcheners will enliven the evening, complete with traditional Yule observances and Boar’s Head carolling. There may even be a visit from a Stranger! Candles are permitted during the feast. This is a dry event – NO ALCOHOL may be consumed on site.

Martial activities, weather permitting, include the Spear Tourney and a fencing list. (Fencing only will move indoors if needed.) Sign up with the MoL and armor inspection begins at 11 am.

The Second Congregational Church has a beautiful sanctuary to add atmosphere to concerts and Court. The Main Hall and adjoining parlors will provide easy gathering spots for other activities. We in Bergental greatly appreciate the first time use of this site on such short notice and will do our best to accommodate everyone in all of our usual festivities.

Site Opens: 10 a.m. (9 a.m. for merchants & Royal retinue)
Site Closes: 9 p.m.
